WELCOME
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the website for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln choral area. This site features a small sample of the tremendous growth we’ve experienced in Lincoln over the past few years. With the advent of our doctoral program, we now boast a comprehensive – if not the most comprehensive – collegiate choral program in the US. Our outstanding alumni and their accomplishments additionally demonstrate the breadth, depth, and scope of our choir program.
Located in the very center of the United States, in one of America’s finest, cleanest, safest, and most livable cities (and recently named the top "college-town in America," the University’s proximity (and aligned with local and regional offering and opportunities) makes our accessibility a true asset and advantage. Our competitive tuition and additional stipends makes Lincoln especially attractive. When comparing college experiences, it is clearly possible to pay less to attend another college and get less. It is also possible to pay a great deal more still obtain less. If a student can pay less than one might invest to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and gain more, I always advise a student to pursue that path. Confidently, I always encourage potential students to compare. I always know we will “stack-up” most favorably when considering all factors. That is what I love about this place. My former college mentor took me out for dinner one night, and when he was encouraging me to submit my application for this choral vacancy, he said that he had two degrees from UNL (bachelors and masters degrees) and that he “loved it there!” That sold me then…the city, the university, and our students have continued to inspire me daily ever since.

Additionally, we invite you to attend one of the live performances, explore choral singing opportunities, and/or enroll in choral academic experiences.
