Timothy Aulner
Tim Aulner is a freshman from Omaha, NE. He attended high school at Elkhorn and was heavily involved in the instrumental music program as a horn player. In the Pride of the Antlers Marching Band he served as a section leader for two years and a drum major for his senior year. He played principal horn in the wind ensemble for three out of his four years. Tim participated in many honor bands including the All-State Orchestra and Band. He received three superior ratings and one excellent rating at District Music Contest. Starting his sophomore year he branched out and picked up a trumpet and flugel horn to perform in the jazz band where he earned multiple awards for outstanding solos.
Wanting to serve his state and country doing something totally new upon graduation of high school, Tim joined the Nebraska Air National Guard to be an aircraft electrician. Tim is excited to start a new chapter by attending UNL as a music education major to achieve his dream of sharing his love of music with other people.
