Dr. Laura Damuth has a courtesy appointment in the School of Music. She has taught the Introduction to Graduate Studies and the Classical Music Survey courses, and is currently teaching a freshman Honors course on Music in Film (MUSC 189H).
Her current position is in the University Honors Program, as both one of the Associate Directors and as the Director of National and International Fellowships.
Her research interests revolve around the Italian cantata in the 17th and 18th centuries, most specifically those of Alessandro Scarlatti.
Dr. Damuth is a board member for the National Association of Fellowships Advisors (NAFA), and holds a B.A. from Vassar College, and M.A., M. Phil. and Ph.D. degrees from Columbia University.
