Hans Sturm and Tom Larson in Copenhagen

Faculty artists Hans Sturm, Assistant Professor of Double Bass and Jazz Studies, and Tom Larson, Adjunct Lecturer of Music History and Jazz Studies, will perform a duo recital of new original jazz works at BASS2012, the European Bass Society's Biennial Convention, held at the new Opera House in Copenhagen, Denmark in mid-August.

They have also been asked to perform as special guest artists in a concert tribute to Niels Henning Ørsted Pedersen at the Copenhagen Jazzhouse with Telarc Recording Artist, Kristin Korb. The duo will then travel to Paris where they will record in the celebrated Studio Davout. Hans will also record François Rabbath's Concerto #2 accompanied by the composer's son, Sylvain Rabbath.
