Something For All Ages and Backgrounds!

Flute Day is here again! This year we have a special guest, Dr. Elizabeth Buck, Associate Professor of Flute at Arizona State University. She will be giving an afternoon masterclass with UNL flutists performing. High school and college flutists from other schools will perform for Dr. Bailey in the morning masterclasses. Requests to play in the masterclasses will be honored as received, with preference given to 11th and 12th graders and visiting college flutists. Younger flutists will be selected as space permits. Those selected to play in the masterclasses will be contacted. Other events include:

* Evening recital by Elizabeth Buck.

* Flute choir reading rehearsal and performance in the finale concert for everyone (performers, auditors and teachers). BRING YOUR FLUTES!

* Studio showcase recitals with solo performances by UNL flutists.

* Mini-recital by Dr. John Bailey, UNL Professor of Flute.

* Performance by the Nebraska Flute Ensembles with a grand finale flute choir (all Flute Day participants welcome). Friends and family are especially welcome!

* Vendor tables with flutes to try and music to buy.
